The 2026 GMC Terrain has a power-packed engine. This next-generation Terrain features a turbocharged, 1.5L 4-cylinder engine. It produces 175 horsepower and 203 lb.-ft. of torque. The 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive configuration create superior control and handling in most situations. It also has the ability to tow about 1500 pounds, giving you ample ability to pull a small trailer.

The AT4 model features an off-road design with an upgraded off-road-tuned suspension system to give you more support. You also have up to five drive modes to increase traction and control over the roadway. Couple this with the trailering package, which is standard on both the AT4 and Denali, and you don’t have to think twice about hooking up the trailer for your adventure. Easy to drive with tight cornering and a solid engine for day-to-day needs, the 2026 GMC Terrain gets the job done.

The GMC Terrain interior is sleek, distinctive, and purpose-built. It has premium cloth seating and a design that keeps technology easily visible. This is a small SUV, but it has 43.9 inches of front legroom and 39.7 inches of rear legroom, which is generally comfortable for five adults. In terms of cargo space, it’s got room with 29.8 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row of seats. And, with the 60/40 split, you get a maximum of 63.5 cubic feet with the rear seats down.

The interior offers trim-specific features, including heated and ventilated front seats and outboard rear seats, an available panoramic roof, and additional storage compartments under the floor. There’s an optional power liftgate in the back, too.

This compact SUV has a bold look. This year’s GMC Terrain saw a redesign that includes a few distinct elements that create a more impressive, formidable look. Depending on the vehicle trim, you may wish to choose a two-tone roof with a Sterling Metallic or Ebony Twilight Metallic color. Each of the Terrain’s trims offers a different wheel configuration option, giving you plenty to choose from. Upfront, all models feature a sharp, more prominent grille with gloss black detailing. There are two special edition models. The Elevation Premium is another special edition featuring brushed aluminum roof side rails, 19-inch Technical Gray machine-faced aluminum wheels, and CoreTech seating material inside.

All vehicles feature a 15-inch diagonal premium GMC Infotainment system. You can upgrade numerous features here. That includes adding style with a two-tone roof and wireless charging to remain connected. All vehicles come with USB ports, SiriusXM with a trial subscription, and Wi-Fi hotspot capability. You can upgrade the premium cloth seats to CoreTec, which gives you a more durable, easy-to-clean option.

The AT4 comes with all of the standard features on the Elevation, but then enhances some of the features to make it more of a go-getter, especially when it comes to off-road fun. This vehicle features an AT4-exclusive selectable Terrain drive mode for better traction off the road, including on loose gravel and inclines. It also has a lifted ride height with red front recovery hooks for when you need more pull and performance. The front skid plate with steel underbody shield design gives your powertrain the protection it needs for those experiences.

The vehicle also offers 17-inch dark machined aluminum wheels and upgrades to all-terrain tires. The two-tone roof design is available on the AT4, and you can upgrade to include a panoramic sunroof. This trim comes with 3 years of OnStar One standard, a cabin humidity sensor, and dual-zone automatic climate control.

The highest trim option is the Denali, which provides drivers with luxury, tech, and performance in a small SUV package. It features all of the standard features on the Elevation and then adds or substitutes in a few specific elements. That starts with heated and ventilated front seats and heated rear outboard seats. The high definition surround vision and rear camera mirror improve visibility inside and out.

Outside, the Denali has 19-inch midnight silver machined-face aluminum wheels and all-season tires. However, you can upgrade to 20-inch after midnight machined-face aluminum wheels. Your Terrain also features animated headlamps and taillamps.
